A Revealed Secret

Kitsune tilted his head slightly, still stroking the back of the mystery kitty. It really did seem to like him. "You think we could keep... Uhm... He? She?... Ah whatever. IT. As a pet?..." He looked up at Kuri pleadingly, and continued in a slightly childish voice, "Pweeeease?"

Kuri laughed, and shrugged. "Well, I can't see why not. A heck of a lot different from the typical pet, though... Usually it's a grunny for pets, but... We're gonna have to get some stuff for it."

He nodded. "Of course." He smiled, holding the kitty against him, petting it gently.

She stared for a few moments, then sat down next to him. "We could go get it later... Although I still don't understand where the cat came from..."

He rolled his eyes and replied, "Who cares, we still have a cat." He/she/it purred loudly, and nyowed squeakily, looking up at Kitsune. He looked back at it. "What is it? Hungry? Thirsty?..." It seemed to shake it's head at each responce, although the movement was very slight. "Want to go for a walk?"

"You don't take cats on walks, Kit >.>" But the cat leaped up at the sound of 'walk' and nyowed again, pacing from the entrance back to him repeatedly. "... Ooooookay..."

He stood up, and the cat purred again. "Alright kitty, lets go ^^" He walked out, and the cat followed. He turned around and asked, "Will you still be here when we get back?"

"Probably. If not, I'll be at Sneering Failing Empire, seeing as we're strong enough to take down those monsters in just seconds..."

He nodded, and continued to walk along beside the cat. They passed through town together, the cat drawing more than just a glance or two. It seemed that everyone else realized how strange it was that there was a cat in The World, but then decided it was probably some sort of long past event. At one point, there was even a girl wavemaster in white and blue clothes to jump in front of them, staring at the cat excitedly, almost hopping in happiness while pointing at it yelling, "Rare item!! I want it! ><" Although, almost as soon as she finished saying that, she was dragged off by another girl with a fairly large sword. Not as big as Kuri's though, not by a long shot. As they went (however unwilling the first girl was to let the cat leave her sight), he heard the second girl scolding her and telling her that that was rude and probably a little creepy. He couldn't help but laugh at that.

The cat turned down a dark, secluded alleyway, and he absentmindedly followed. They strolled to about the darkest and the most secluded part of it, and then the cat started to hiss. Kitsune looked around, trying to see what it was hissing at, and drew his katana. He couldn't see anything, it was too dark and his eyes hadn't adjusted, and he was suddenly knocked to the ground and was out cold.

The sun crept across the sky, slowly illuminating the alleyway. Kitsune was laying, eyes closed, breathing regularly in the middle of it. The cat was nowhere to be found. But he wasn't entirely alone, either. There was a figure in what was left of the shadows. It would have looked human, if it weren't for the bulges on the top of it's head and the swaying thing behind it. But it was still to dark to determine what it really was. It gave a slight squeak as Kitsune began to stir.

It tiptoed out of the shadows, slowly revealing itself. Or rather, herself. She was wearing a black skirt of sorts, that showed the sides of her legs all the way up to her stomach, cutting zigzag all the way up, being held on with just a small, almost invisible black string. Her shirt wasn't much of a shirt, there were holes throughout it, although they appeared to be made for an artistic purpose. There were a few holes very nearly revealing her chest, but she didn't seem to be very conscious of them. The 'bulges' on her head were jet black, triangular ears, and the swaying thing was a tail of the same color. She looked scared, and cautiously approached Kitsune. "M-master?..."

Kitsune groggily opened his eyes. "Kitty, where are you?..." He groaned.

"Master?" She repeated, tears welling up.

He looked up at her, and stared for a few moments, taking in her outfit, trying not to lose himself in it. He had trouble speaking for a while, but then said, "What do you mean, master?... Who are you? What do you want?..."

She cried, and it almost sounded like nyowing. She fell to her knees. "I'm sorry I hurt you! I just wanted to hug you!!"

"Hug me?" Kitsune's brain short-circuited. "... I'm lost here. what the heck do you mean?"

She blushed, and said, "You know that cat that you took for a walk earlier?..."

"Did you do something to it?!" He jumped up.

"No!... It's me..." She smiled, her face streaked with tears. "I'm sorry I didn't let you know before, I wanted you to find out before your friend, and I wanted it to be secret, and a surprise..."

He stared for a few more moments, then passed out again. She looked at him worriedly, then sat down next to him. "I'm sorry..."
